Animal Rehoming
Animals are sometimes owned without a true understanding of what is involved in looking after them. All too often, prospective owners don’t think about how big an animal might grow, how much time, attention and care they need, the cost of food, holiday care, vets bills and other unaccounted for expenses, and sadly, such animals too frequently become unwanted. Sometimes, through unavoidable circumstances, family pets can no longer be looked after even though they are dearly loved. Additionally, too many animals still receive inappropriate care and, at times are treated cruelly or abandoned deliberately.
Whatever the reason, the animal is the innocent victim and they need love, care and attention.
Foster Carers wanted
We are looking for experienced owners of cats and dogs in particular, who would like to become foster carers for us. Placing an animal in a foster home will give us vital information to enable us to find it the perfect forever home and our Foster Carers will play an extremely important role in assessing each animal they look after; it’s likes, dislikes, behavioural traits etc. Being a Foster Carer is a very rewarding role knowing that you are helping these animals on their journey from what can be states of sadness, despair, fear and pain towards a happy life.
All animals we take in will be given veterinary checks and any necessary medical treatment. We will pay for any further veterinary care and will provide food and all equipment that is needed to foster. What we ask from you is that you provide a loving, temporary home for our foster animals, be open to accepting prospective adopters to view the animal(s) in your home and agree to transport the foster animal(s) to the vets for any necessary treatment whilst in your care. We have a contract with a veterinary group who have branches throughout the West Yorkshire area so we wouldn’t be asking you to travel miles.
