Future Work Opportunities

Want To Work With Animals?

Friends Of Baxter Animal Care will be looking to take on paid workers/ employ staff to work in its future animal rescue centres, hospitals, and therapy treatment work, starting with our first centre in Yorkshire. For a considerable number of roles a priority will be animal loving individuals trained in the following areas who are also skilled and experienced in one or more holistic and or complementary therapies:

Roles for which we will seek employees trained in a holistic or complementary therapy

  • Veterinary Surgeons
  • Veterinary Nurses
  • Veterinary Care Assistants
  • Rescue staff
  • Dog walkers
  • Groomers
  • Dog trainer/ behaviourists
  • Complementary therapy practitioners for a range of therapies
  • Other

When will we start recruiting?

We plan to open the first rescue centre with therapy provision in 2019/2020 and then expand to our complete first venture including an animal hospital as soon as our funds and resources permit. When we are happy that we have the ideal model we will then expand outside Yorkshire and intend to roll out nationally in the years ahead.

If you are interested in the more natural and holistic approach to animal care and may like to work with us, can we suggest that you learn a therapy that you feel attracted to sooner rather than later. Proficiency in any therapy develops with practice and experience and you may find that learning a therapy benefits you personally too.

There is no guarantee that you will be employed because you have trained in a holistic and/ or complementary therapy but your chances of being employed by Friends Of Baxter Animal Care or other holistic ventures will be improved if you are an able and skilled therapy practitioner.
